This was a three-generation family trip with everyone from a baby to grandparents, so finding the right place to stay was a mission from the start. For this Nha Trang family vacation, we wanted somewhere that would genuinely make both the kids and the adults happy. Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranhand it turned out to be exactly that.
Since my dad generously treated us to this trip, consider this a very real dad-paid, dad-approved review.
We stayed in both a two-bedroom pool villa, where we could relax privately and swim whenever we wanted, and a hotel room that delivered both great views and excellent value. I’m sharing the key takeaways from both.

Just 10 minutes from Cam Ranh International Airport
When you’re traveling with kids, long transfers can wear everyone out fast. One of the biggest perks of Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh is that it’s only about 10 minutes by car from Cam Ranh International Airport, so you can get there before the meltdowns begin.
Nha Trang flights are often late at night or very early in the morning, so being this close to the airport made a huge difference. We arrived feeling much less drained than usual.
On top of that, it’s a five-star resort operated by Accor, the global hotel group,but the value is still excellent. Even for a big family trip, the price didn’t feel overwhelming.
A massive resort with plenty to do
Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh is the kind of Nha Trang family resort where you could easily spend several days without ever leaving the property. It’s huge, and there are so many facilities and activities that you never run out of things to do.
The grounds are so large that you’ll usually get around by buggy, and honestly, the kids loved that almost as much as the pools.
This is the full resort map, and it really shows the scale. The large buildings in the back are the hotel and residence wings, while the long row of homes near the beach are the standalone pool villas. There are a lot of them.
Inside the resort, there’s even a private water parkplus several other pools throughout the property, so even if you don’t book a villa, you can still spend all day in the water.
There are shallow pools for little kids and water slides too, so it’s genuinely fun for the whole family.
The resort also runs a wide range of kids’ programs and one-day classes, and there’s even a dailyChocolate Hour, where you can enjoy unlimited desserts every afternoon.
There’s plenty for adults too. The on-site spa is especially beautiful and feels properly luxurious. Even though it’s inside a five-star resort, the prices weren’t unreasonable.
You can also enjoy water sports on the private beach in front of the resort, and there’s even a climbing experience available.
We stayed for 6 nights and 7 days, and there was still so much we didn’t get around to doing.
Two-bedroom pool villa
Since we were traveling as a group of nine including a baby, we booked two rooms: a two-bedroom pool villa and a hotel room. We used the villa as our base during the day, then one family moved to the hotel room at night for sleeping.
The two-bedroom pool villa was seriously spacious. The living room alone was huge, and even with our family plus two babysitters sharing the space, it never felt cramped.
There are two bedrooms, and each one is impressively large too. One thing I always love about Southeast Asian resorts is how generous the room sizes are.
The villa also had a large refrigerator, a sink, a washing machine, and plenty of storage, so even with a big group staying for a longer trip, it was very comfortable.
And then there’s the highlight: the private pool. Every pool villa comes with a large individual pool, and it’s much bigger than I expected. Honestly, it felt big enough for 10 adults to get in and still enjoy the water.
Because it was our own private pool, we could swim from morning to evening without worrying about hours or crowds, which was such a luxury.
We also booked a private barbecue and had a barbecue party right in the villa garden. The staff came over, grilled everything for us, and helped run the whole setup, so all we had to do was eat and enjoy. It ended up being one of the happiest moments of the trip.
Best-value rooms in the hotel wing
The hotel wing is much more affordable than the pool villas, but since it’s still part of a five-star resort, the facilities are excellent.
You get access to the same resort amenities at a lower room rate, and the views are actually even better than the villas, which makes this one of the best-value options at Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh.
We stayed in the Ocean View Deluxe Suite Kingand used it as a room for a family of four including two kids. The space was so generous that even with a lot of luggage, it still felt easy and comfortable.
Since the hotel rooms are on higher floors, the views are absolutely stunning. I used to think the beaches in Vietnam were just okay, but the wide-open ocean view here completely changed my mind.
Even the standard rooms are quite spacious. If you plan to spend more time enjoying the resort facilities or heading out around Nha Trang rather than staying in the room, a basic room would honestly be more than enough.

Everything about the stay was good, but what stood out most for our family trip with a baby was how seriously the resort embraces being kid-friendly. There were so many children around the property, and every staff member we met was warm and kind to them.
My nephew is obsessed with anything that moves, so riding the buggy made him unbelievably happy. The buggy driver even took photos with him, which was such a sweet touch.
Sometimes staff greet kids in character costumes, and there are also play spaces where children can stop by and have fun even if they’re not signed up for a formal kids’ class.
You can also request baby gear for the room, including a crib and baby bathtub, and stroller rentals are available too.
If you’re traveling with a baby, I can genuinely recommend Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh.
A wide range of restaurants
There are quite a few restaurants inside the resort. When resort food is disappointing, you end up having to go out for every meal, which gets annoying fast, but that wasn’t the case here. We used the on-site restaurants often, and for reference, food delivery is available too.
Since this is Southeast Asia, the food and drink prices inside the resort weren’t outrageously expensive, so we felt comfortable ordering different things. The overall quality was solid too.
We also ate at Chubeli Beer House, where they serve Schweinshaxe, and it honestly tasted very close to what I’ve had in Europe.
In the evenings, the restaurants sometimes host live performances too. There was truly something to do all day long, which is exactly why I’d recommend this Nha Trang resort for families.
Final thoughts
The kids had the best time bouncing between the pools and kids’ facilities, while the adults could take care of meals and massages without ever leaving the resort. It was one of those rare family trips where everyone was genuinely happy.
The short airport transfer made it easy, and it’s the kind of place where both parents and kids can actually relax. Compared with other Nha Trang resorts, the value for money is excellent, and there’s so much to do that our whole resort stay somehow felt busy in the best way.
