If you’re looking for a Bangkok hotel recommendation, Pullman Bangkok King Power and its club lounge made for such a satisfying city stay.
This was the hotel I picked for a proper Bangkok staycation,
Pullman Bangkok King Power.
We stayed in an Executive Suite,
and both Executive-level rooms and suites
come with club lounge access.
You can check out my room review here.

Since we were booked into a suite,
check-in was handled right in the lounge.

It was during Lunar New Year, so there were very
Chinese-style decorations all over the place, which honestly wasn’t my favorite.
Anyway,

the lounge also had a meeting room,
a space where you could use a laptop,
and even a separate restroom inside, which was really convenient.

It wasn’t huge, but during our four-night stay
I went every day and it never felt crowded.
Even though it was decorated in a very Chinese-inspired way,
there were barely any Chinese guests in the lounge, funny enough.

At the executive lounge,
you can enjoy breakfast and happy hour,
and there are also light snacks available throughout the day during opening hours.
Breakfast: 6:00–10:30 a.m. (until 11:00 a.m. on weekends) / Happy Hour: 5:00–7:00 p.m. / Snacks: 6:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m. (all day)
Check-in starts at 2:00 p.m.,
and you can start using the lounge right away while checking in.

There were juices, cookies, fruit, tea, and coffee,
and while you could help yourself to some of it,
if you asked, the staff would prepare the tea or coffee for you.

So of course, I started with a fresh cup of coffee.
Yep—this is exactly what a Bangkok staycation should feel like.

I ended up eating and drinking a little bit of everything.
Pullman Bangkok King Power club lounge happy hour runs from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

During happy hour, the food and alcohol are unlimited.
For the alcohol selection, just refer to the photo.

There was wine, whiskey,
and a few different liqueurs too,
but since this isn’t an ultra-luxury hotel, don’t expect anything especially high-end.

They also had canned beer and soft drinks.

And yes—they’ll make unlimited cocktails too, which was a nice bonus.

There was a drink menu placed at every table,
and they also offered non-alcoholic mocktails,
so it’s still enjoyable even if you don’t drink.

One thing to note: for happy hour, the drinks and food
are not available even at 4:59 p.m.—service starts exactly at 5:00 p.m.

Each day there were usually two or three hot dishes,

plus a few snacky items
like dried fruit, cheese, and bread.

I tried something that was kind of like Korean sweet crispy chicken,
but it was mostly thick batter and honestly not that great.

I ordered a cocktail once too,
and if I remember right, that one was actually pretty good.
Other than that, I mostly grabbed Johnnie Walker or Jack Daniel’s,
plus soda water and ice, and made myself simple highballs.
Pullman Bangkok King Power lounge breakfast is served from 6:00 to 10:30 a.m. (until 11:00 a.m. on weekends).
Guests with executive lounge access
can choose to have breakfast at Cuisine Unplugged on the first floor
or up in the lounge.
We tried the first-floor breakfast restaurant once, but it was way too hectic,
so we just ate upstairs every day.

The napkin art was impressive.

There were the usual basics like fruit, salad, and bread,

plus cereal,

sausages, dim sum,

and a selection of hot dishes too.

The yogurt served in the little cups on the bottom shelf
was so good that I had it every single day.

There were also made-to-order items
you could order separately from the buffet, but they took a while,
and the buffet spread was more than enough, so aside from eggs
I didn’t really bother ordering anything else.

Most days, I kept breakfast simple like this.

They also brewed coffee and brought it to the table,

and of course, fried eggs too.
A sunny-side-up egg just makes it feel like a real hotel breakfast—maybe that’s just me.

Anyway, between the tasty breakfast,
daytime snacks, and happy hour in the evening,
this Bangkok staycation felt totally worth it.
From the room to the lounge to the hotel facilities overall,
I genuinely liked pretty much everything about Pullman Bangkok King Power.
If you’re planning a Bangkok staycation,
I’d recommend booking ahead on Agoda.
