Swissotel Nankai Osaka Table36 Breakfast Review in Namba, Osaka, Japan
Following up on my previous room review,
here’s my review of the Table36 breakfast at Swissotel Nankai Osaka in Namba!

Since my Accor Diamond status included lounge access,
I could choose to have breakfast either in the lounge or at the Table36 restaurant.
During my 3-night stay, I picked Table36 on the first morning
because it had a wider selection of food.
Breakfast at Swissotel Nankai Osaka runs
from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, which is a pretty generous window.

There was a short line for breakfast,
but the restaurant is large, so it moved quickly.
Right outside the breakfast area, there’s even a little smart farm setup.

I hadn’t even made it into the restaurant yet…
There were drinks and bread set out by the entrance,
and honestly I was a little confused about why they were placed outside.

Anyway, time to head in.
At night, this space operates as Bar36, so

there’s a full bar right in the center of the restaurant
stocked with wine and all kinds of other alcohol.

The food is spread out between the center area and the walls,
and the overall selection is pretty extensive.

Since it’s on the top floor of the hotel, the views are fantastic,
so window seats are especially popular.
The windows run along both sides, though, so there are actually quite a few good seats.

We got lucky and snagged a window table too,
so we had breakfast with a great city view.

When I asked for a high chair, they brought one over right away,
so the baby was comfortable too.
There was a lot more food than what I managed to photograph,
but I still took plenty of pictures throughout the buffet.

There was even a neat machine that makes onigiri.

There was a pancake corner too.

At the noodle station, they make ramen or soba to order,
fresh on the spot.
It’s not in the photos, but there’s an egg station as well.

There’s a solid mix of Japanese and Western breakfast dishes,
so I think just about anyone could find at least a few things they’d like.

There were several kinds of fruit,

and the salad ingredients looked fresh too.

There were multiple kinds of cereal and milk as well.

Yogurt too.

The cold cuts looked especially tempting.

The bread and donuts looked good too,

and I loved that they even had ice cream.

A lot of the hotel breakfasts I’ve had in Japan haven’t been especially memorable, but Swissotel’s was definitely on the better side.

Not mind-blowingly good, though.

After a satisfying breakfast, I even took a few photos of my daughter
with the city view in the background.
On one of the other mornings during our 3-night stay, we ate in the lounge,
and I’m planning to do a separate post on that too.
So, is breakfast at Swissotel Nankai Osaka in Namba worth adding?
I wouldn’t say it’s an absolute must,
but if your booking includes breakfast, it’s definitely not something you’ll regret
or feel like was a waste of money.
That said, Japan has so many convenience store options and easy grab-and-go snacks,
so I don’t think breakfast inclusion is essential.
If you filter by opening hours on Google Maps
and look for places serving breakfast,
you’ll find quite a few spots around the hotel, so keep that in mind.
