My final review! Breakfast, the lounge café, and the gym

The breakfast restaurant at Fairmont The Palm Dubai
is Flow Kitchen, located on the LG level below the lobby.Breakfast is served from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.,which is a pretty generous window.

They don’t serve lunch, but there isa dinner buffet as well.
Dinner runs from 6:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., in case you’re planning ahead.

We only used the breakfast buffet for all three days of our stay.

You’re not supposed to just walk in—they ask you to wait to be seated.
They checked our room number and then showed us to our table.

Once inside, I was surprised by how large the restaurant was.

The tables are divided into several different sections,
and we picked the bright, open central area, which I liked best.

There are outdoor tables too, but when you start sweating just sitting still
in Dubai, there’s really no reason to choose outside.

I took a few photos around the food stations

because the Middle Eastern-inspired interior really made it feel like I was traveling in Dubai.
That sense of place was one of the things I liked most about Fairmont The Palm.

I also snapped a few shots of the food spread, so hopefully that helps.

You can order coffee from your table,

but somehow there was a mix-up and
I got a cappuccino I hadn’t ordered. I’m not really a latte-type person,

so I asked for a hot Americano too.

I’ve been to quite a few hotels in the UAE,
but hotel breakfast usually hasn’t been memorable enough

for me to go all in on a huge spread,
so I usually stick to bread, eggs, and fruit.

When they brought my coffee back, they actually served it
with milk in a full pot.

It wasn’t an Americano—it was filter coffee you pour yourself.

In the photo on the right, there’s one
croissant wrapped with a green band that I grabbed out of curiosity,
and inside was this ridiculously good pistachio cream.
It was such a good croissant, and honestly, I still want another one.

Next up is
Mashrabiya Lounge on the lobby level (G floor).

It’s open daily from 7:00 a.m. to midnight.

On this trip, we had so many plans outside the hotel
that we didn’t book
a club room, and just stopped by this lounge once instead.

There’s outdoor seating too, so we sat outside.
It was an April evening, and the weather was cool enough to make the terrace really pleasant.

I don’t remember exactly which tea I ordered,
but it came out in such a polished, elegant way that it was perfect for photos.

The portion was surprisingly generous too—I was full just from drinking tea.

My husband ordered an iced Americano.

You can also smoke shishahere,
and I’ll be honest, I was a little annoyed because someone nearby was smoking it,

but with the soft, lukewarm breeze and the quiet atmosphere,
it still felt relaxing to stretch out and just do nothing for a while.

Sunset was starting.

If you look down from the lounge terrace railing,
you get a view over the outdoor pool area, and it’s honestly gorgeous.

I was sad we only got to use the pool once.

I also took a few photos of the breads
and desserts sold at Mashrabiya Lounge.

They also have salads and sandwiches, and the prices
were mostly around $15.

If you’re trying to eat light, this would actually be a pretty good option.

The slice cakes were around $9 each too,
which felt reasonable for a Dubai hotel.

They also serve afternoon tea, so if you’re in Dubai, UAE,
and want to treat yourself a little, it seems like a fun thing to try at least once.

Finally, the Fairmont The Palm Dubai gym.

We were out and about so much
that we barely spent time in the hotel and didn’t really use the fitness center properly, but the facilities looked great.

Next time I’m in Dubai, I definitely want to make time for a workout too.
