Seven Hotpot Barsha Branch Review: Best Hot Pot in Dubai, UAE

Seven Hotpot Barsha Branch is one of my repeat-visit picks whenever I’m craving hot pot in Dubai.

One thing I always make sure to eat when I’m in Dubai or Abu Dhabi:
hot pot at Seven Hotpot.

Seven Hotpot is a chain, so you’ll find branches in different parts of the city.
This time, though, my hotel was on Palm Jumeirahin Dubai, UAE,
so I looked up a few nearby locations.

There was a Seven Hotpot branch near JBR Beach—Seven Hot Pot Restaurant (Marina Branch), also listed as 7 Hotpot—
so I first tried plugging that into the navigation app.
Even though it looked close as the crow flies,
the roads didn’t connect well, so the drive ended up being ridiculously long.

So even though it was technically farther away,
it was actually quicker by car, which is why I chose the Barsha Branchand headed there instead.

If you’re staying on Palm Jumeirah,
this is the branch I’d recommend going to.

I ended up parking behind the building and walking in from the back,
so I didn’t get a proper exterior photo and had to borrow one.

The restaurant was spacious and very clean.
Unlike the Downtown Abu Dhabi branch,
this one was quiet and not crowded, which I loved.

It also looked great for group dining.

And this table setup felt weirdly familiar and comforting.
Not that I’ve been there that many times,

As for the menu, it’s all-you-can-eat and there’s really only one option:
unlimited hot pot with meat and vegetables.

The price is 59 dirhams per person, about $16.
The exchange rate has definitely gone up a bit since before ^_^

but even so, this is still one of the best-value meals
in Dubai.

As soon as we ordered, I went straight to the sauce bar.

If you’re not sure how to mix your sauce,

just combine sesame sauce + oyster sauce + chili oil (or chili-infused oil) + minced garlic + chopped scallions + chopped chili + crushed peanuts + cilantro.

Mix to taste and you’re good.

We got the split pot with one white broth and one red broth.

There are only two broth options—hong tang and bai tang,
but honestly, both are delicious.

For meat, they have beef, lamb, and chicken,
but we always go for the lambevery time.

It’s fresh, tender, and has zero gamey smell.
The usual lamb flavor is barely noticeable.

Since this is an Islamic country, there’s no pork.

Then they brought out vegetables, meat, tofu, and more.

And yes, all of it is refillable.
At Seven Hotpot Barsha Branch,
you really get the best value by focusing on protein like meat and tofu rather than loading up on vegetables or carbs.

With all-you-can-eat places,
ingredient quality can be hit or miss,
so I usually skip them in Korea—but here, the quality is genuinely good.

We kept dunking everything into the broth
and happily ate our way through plate after plate.

There’s only one carb item, and you absolutely have to order it.
No. 51: potato ball.Seriously, memorize that.

Honestly, sometimes it feels like I go to Seven Hotpot
just for this one item.
It’s filled with sweet red bean paste, and the texture is so chewy and satisfying.

Don’t order No. 50, the golden whatever.
Get the potato ball and remember it.

Writing this is making me want it again already.

Anyway, this place is also great for solo dining, and
the opening hoursare long, too.
It’s open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. the next day.
The staff can also communicate in basic English without any problem.

The red broth isn’t overwhelmingly numbing or spicy,
so even people who are sensitive to mala flavors can enjoy it.
It barely gives you that tongue-tingling, numbing feeling.

If you’re planning a free-and-easy trip to Dubai,
definitely try Seven Hotpot Barsha Branch—or any Seven Hotpot location at least once.
