Dusit Thani Dubai Review: Inside the Deluxe Room in Downtown Dubai, UAE
This is a belated write-up from my trip last year, about a hotel in Downtown Dubai !

and my late-but-worth-it review of the Deluxe Room stay.
Dusit Thani Dubai location
Dusit Thani Dubai is close to Burj Khalifa,
the Museum of the Future, and other major sights,
so it’s in a great spot for sightseeing!

Since I had both Accor and Dusit Gold status,
I mostly stayed within those two hotel groups,
and after my stay at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, where the service was so good,
I decided to try the Downtown Dubai property for a day too!
Actually, not even a full day—
I booked it as a place to rest before a late-night flight.
Hotel overview
The hotel sits right on one of Dubai’s main roads,
so if you’re traveling around Dubai,
it’s one of those buildings you’ll spot easily from Sheikh Zayed Road.
I parked behind the hotel building and headed in.
The structure is open through the center,
so the lobby ceiling almost feels like it belongs to a low-rise building.
Checking in—everyone at the Dubai property was incredibly kind too.
Since Dusit Thani is a luxury hotel brand from Thailand,
I really liked the polished, upscale feel of the lobby.
On the first floor (G floor), there’s a well-rated café and several restaurants, which makes grabbing a meal during your stay really convenient.
And of course, you don’t have to be a hotel guest to use them.
These days I’m putting all my hotel loyalty focus into Accor,
so my Dusit Gold membership has ended, but
if you travel to Southeast Asia or Dubai often,
the Dusit Gold membership is still worth considering!

On the 24th floor,the food court is especially well known,
and on the 34th floor,there’s also a club lounge.
And on the top floor,you’ll find the indoor rooftop pool, pool bar, and gym.

Since I was a Dusit Gold member, I was assigned
a high-floor room on the 30th floor!
It also looked like there were a few more member-only floors.
Because of the building’s layout, the upper floors
were open in the center almost like a shopping mall atrium.
The floor you can see way down below is the 24th-floor food court.
It’s been quite a while since I stayed here last year,
but this Dubai hotel still feels oddly vivid in my memory.
Room review
Deluxe Room
Since I was staying for less than 12 hours,
I booked the base-category Deluxe Room.
Here’s the 30th-floor room layout.
Check out the room video first,
but even though it’s the entry-level room, 29 square meters doesn’t feel small at all.
The king bed was basically the size of two singles pushed together,
so it felt genuinely big and roomy,
and even with a work desk and sofa,
the room still felt open and well laid out.
Near the entrance, there was a luggage shelf and closet,
and essentials like bathrobes and a safe
were all properly stocked, exactly what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel.
Hotel and room information was available on the TV,
which was convenient,
and the room service menu could be viewed by scanning a QR code.
I didn’t order anything, so I can’t speak to the prices,
but since it’s a hotel, I’m guessing it wasn’t exactly cheap.
There was also a paid minibar.
Bottled water was complimentary and served in glass bottles.
(In Dubai and Abu Dhabi,
a lot of places provide drinking water in glass bottles.)
If you need laundry service, check the pricing too.
Shirt laundry was 26 dirhams (about $7),
and pants were 36 dirhams (about $10), for example.
Moving on with the room tour,
the bathroom had an interior window opening toward the bedroom,
so you could lie in the tub and watch the TV across from the bed.
The sink area also had a classic, slightly exotic look that was actually pretty charming.
And there was even an old-school analog scale..!
Needless to say, I didn’t step on it.
As for disposable amenities, there was a toothbrush set and a bunch of other basics provided.
The bath amenities were from AromatherapyAssociates.
I don’t think the brand is especially famous in Korea,
but it’s a solid one that shows up surprisingly often in upscale hotels.
Separate tub, separate shower booth, separate toilet room—
my absolute favorite hotel bathroom layout!
Room view
Dubai city view
Dusit Thani Dubai offers two main view types: a standard city view (street view) and a Burj Khalifa view.
The Burj Khalifa view rooms are a little more expensive.
I’d already seen Burj Khalifa so many times while staying in Dubai,
so I skipped the extra charge and went with the standard street view.
And honestly, doesn’t the street view look great too?
Of course, if you’re staying here for a honeymoon or a stopover,
I’d recommend splurging on the Burj Khalifa view.
I admired the view for a bit, unpacked my things,
went up to the rooftop for a quick swim,
and by the time I came back to the room, the sun had set.
Dubai really is even prettier at night.
It feels like a futuristic city brought to life.

Before heading to the airport that night,
I took one more look at the lobby, which was beautiful both by day and after dark.
After seeing Burj Khalifa from practically everywhere in Dubai,
I’d gotten weirdly used to it,
but right before leaving, it suddenly made me feel sentimental.
On the way to the airport, I took in the Museum of the Future one more time too,
and then it was really time to head to DXB.
