Korean Air KE2148 Prestige Class Review: Naha Okinawa to Incheon

Korean Air KE2148 Prestige Class Review: Naha Okinawa to Incheon

For our round-trip Okinawa trip, we flew

Korean Air Prestige Class both ways.

This time, I’m sharing my review of the return flight, Okinawa to Incheon on KE2148.

For my Incheon to Okinawa KE2147 business class review,

Naha Airport Korean Air Prestige Review: Check-In at Naha Airport

Naha International Airport
150 Kagamizu, Naha, Okinawa 901-0142, Japan

At Naha International Airport in Okinawa, Japan,

the Korean Air counter is in International Terminal Counter Zone B.

Check-in opens 2 hours before departure,

so even if you show up 3 hours early like you might at Incheon Airport,

there really isn’t much to do since the airport is small.

I’d recommend arriving about 2 hours before your flight.

There’s a separate Prestige check-in counter,

and right next to it are two Morning Calm counters.

Even though this is a Japanese airport staffed by Japanese employees,

because it’s Korean Air, we had no problem communicating in Korean too.

Naha Airport Shopping and Duty-Free in Okinawa, Japan

These are some of the shops in the public area of Naha Airport.

If you forgot to buy souvenirs, there are a few places where you can grab snacks or simple gifts.

There was also a Bic Camera and a MUJI store.

This is the map of the duty-free area inside security.

It also shows the duty-free shops and restaurants inside,

but honestly, it’s so small that it’s hard to see much in the photo.

Naha Airport duty-free is really tiny and there isn’t much there,

so unless you’re planning to eat, I wouldn’t go in too early.

Since we were flying business class, we relaxed for a bit at the Ryurin Lounge

before heading to the gate.

KE2148 Boarding Review

On the way to board.

Before I could take a photo of the empty seat, I had to put the baby down first… haha.

We use a compact stroller that can go in the cabin,

so right before boarding we fold it up and carry her for a minute,

but wow, why does that one minute feel so hard? She was 10 months old and 11.5 kg.

Just like our outbound Okinawa flight,

this was an A321neo, so there were only 8 business class seats.

We were in the very front row, seats 7A and 7B.

I think this little one might love attention…

She stood there holding onto the partition

and had to inspect every single person walking by.

She was too cute not to post a bunch of photos. My blog, my rules.

I always find the in-flight safety video screen weirdly interesting.

The window shade had to stay open for takeoff,

but my daughter was very committed to closing it over and over.

Bye, Naha International Airport~~~

During takeoff, babies’ ears can hurt from the pressure change,

so I usually try to time a bottle, some water,

or a pacifier for that moment.

But our sweet little angel fell asleep right before takeoff.

She has never cried on a flight, not even once.

Once we reached cruising altitude, we reclined the seat and laid her down,

and thankfully she stayed asleep without even stirring.

She looked so adorable sleeping so deeply

that I ended up taking way too many nearly identical photos.

Hmm… where am I?

A baby who starts reading as soon as she wakes up.

Well… by “reading,” I mean she was very entertained by the duty-free sales booklet.

KE2148 In-Flight Meal

On the return flight, the standard menu choices were braised beef with kimchi

or grilled eel rice bowl,

but I ordered something different in advance.

For Korean Air KE2148 Prestige Class,

the pre-order meal options were

Bolognese pasta, bibim memil guksu,

and wild rice with roasted vegetables.

We had the eel rice bowl and the bibim memil guksu.

Whenever I fly Korean Air business class, I always order

a glass of Rémy Martin XO cognac.

This was the bibim memil guksu, a spicy mixed buckwheat noodle dish, and the portion was generous.

It even came with two dumplings.

There were lots of noodles, plenty of vegetables, and enough sauce,

so it ended up being much better than I expected.

This was the eel rice bowl, and that one was solid too.

For dessert, we had fruit and a cup of tea.

Final Thoughts

The flight time from Okinawa to Incheon is just a little over 2 hours,

so it’s actually very manageable with a baby.

Because it’s a short route, you do have to eat the meal pretty quickly,

and it can feel a little hectic, but still,

business class definitely makes traveling with a baby easier.

Every time I fly Korean Air, the flight attendants are

so kind and the service is consistently great, which always leaves me happy.

One of the crew members asked if she could hold Happy for a second,

but my daughter said absolutely not and hid behind me.

She could’ve gone to her… but no. Haha.

Anyway, we made it through another international trip with our baby safely and happily.

Such a good trip.

Now I’m already wondering where we should go next.

Trip.com is probably where I’ll start looking for flights again.
